Stone wool insulation for sustainable buildings

Derived from volcanic rock, stone wool is strong and flexible to suit a wide range of industrial applications. It helps to maintain temperature in buildings, improving energy efficiency and reducing heating and cooling costs. 

Its non-combustible nature and resistance to temperatures up to 1,000°C help slow the spread of fire. Also water-resistant, it reduces the risk of moisture damage.  

With a lifespan of at least 65 years, stone wool offers safety and energy efficiency. You can recycle it endlessly without any loss of performance.

Recycling stone wool with Rockcycle®

Rockcycle® is an innovative programme from the ROCKWOOL Group designed to facilitate the recycling of stone wool. It creates a circular system that allows builders to recover and reuse the material during building renovations. 

During the production of your systems, you can lose stone wool residues. That's why we offer bags so that we can recover and recycle them.   

This programme meets sustainability expectations by reducing construction waste. Our aim is to extend this programme to new countries.  

For OEMs, this programme is a way of taking a more responsible approach and managing resources efficiently.

Cradle to Cradle Material Health Certification

The Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Material Health Certification ensures that materials meet sustainability standards. These constantly evolving standards are essential for ensuring transparency and the safety of a company's solutions. The certification promotes the integration of safer and more durable materials and encourages circular construction practices.

It helps builders achieve green certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method). By using certified stone wool in their buildings, builders can earn credits. This helps certify and add value to their project.

This certification provides numerous benefits to manufacturers, architects, and real estate developers. Spanrock®, your C2C certified stone wool

Our Spanrock® stone wool has passed the CradletoCradle test. Mainly used in sandwich panel insulation, this stone wool offers mechanical properties and high quality thermal insulation. Stone wool offers flexibility, you can also use this Spanrock® product to insulate offsite applications. By limiting the spread of fire and preventing mould, it is a safe and durable choice.
