Challenges of modern living

In today’s world, cities are expanding rapidly. This growth brings new challenges, especially in how we build and maintain our living spaces. The demand for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings is higher than ever.

The construction industry plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges. It must find ways to cut energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and minimize environmental impact.

At ROCKWOOL Core Solutions we are committed to environmentally friendly practices. We offer solutions designed to protect natural resources while meeting the demands of our stakeholders.

Stone wool insulation for sustainable buildings

Derived from volcanic rock, stone wool is strong and flexible to suit a wide range of industrial applications. It helps to maintain temperature in buildings, improving energy efficiency and reducing heating and cooling costs.

Its non-combustible nature and resistance to temperatures up to 1,000°C help slow the spread of fire. Also water-resistant, it reduces the risk of moisture damage.

With a lifespan of at least 65 years, stone wool offers safety and energy efficiency. You can recycle it endlessly without any loss of performance.

Recycling stone wool with Rockcycle®

Rockcycle® is an innovative programme from the ROCKWOOL Group designed to facilitate the recycling of stone wool. It creates a circular system that allows builders to recover and reuse the material during building renovations.

During the production of your systems, you can lose stone wool residues. That's why we offer bags so that we can recover and recycle them.

This programme meets sustainability expectations by reducing construction waste. Our aim is to extend this programme to new countries.

For OEMs, this programme is a way of taking a more responsible approach and managing resources efficiently.

Rockcycle - stone wool

It helps builders achieve green certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method). By using certified stone wool in their buildings, builders can earn credits. This helps certify and add value to their project.

This certification provides numerous benefits to manufacturers, architects, and real estate developers. It demonstrates that products are of superior quality, safe, and eco-friendly, proving a commitment to sustainability. It also encourages product innovation, reduces health risks, and enhances market position in an industry that values sustainability.

At ROCKWOOL Core Solutions, we are CradletoCradle Material Health Bronze certified. This shows our commitment to a healthier and more sustainable future.

Why Choose Certified Stone Wool?

01

For sandwich panel manufacturers

Certified materials make products more appealing and ensure they meet regulations. These panels are high-quality, safe, and eco-friendly, supporting sustainable buildings. They help manufacturers get ready for future health and environmental rules. They show a commitment to using less energy and protecting nature. This builds trust with customers and encourages new ideas and innovation.

02

For buildings

Panels improve the air quality and health of buildings, adding long-term value. They help buildings meet LEED and BREEAM standards, increasing energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. By following local and international building codes, these panels make properties more appealing and lower exposure to harmful substances.

03

For clients and architects

Certified products help architects and developers meet sustainability goals with strong and durable materials. They support quality construction, making it easier to achieve credits for green building certifications. This increases the value of Spanrock® materials. It aligns them with C2C certification to help reduce harm to the environment.

04

For certifying buildings with C2C

Projects using C2C-certified materials receive more recognition for being green and sustainable. This certification improves indoor air quality and attracts investors and buyers who value the environment. It helps projects stay ahead of changes in laws and regulations.
